The Program in Memory Longevity is at an exciting stage of growth and innovation. We are seeking talented and passionate individuals to join our collaborative research environment as we work to uncover the fundamental mechanisms of memory formation, storage, and longevity.

Be part of the great impact we're having on science and medical care across the globe.

Current Openings

The Losonczy laboratory currently has multiple positions available across all career levels. We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds in neuroscience, biology, physics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics and related fields who share our commitment to advancing memory research.

  • The newly established Program in Memory Longevity (PML) at the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute and the Department of Neuroscience at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The program is looking for both computational and experimental neuroscientists to advance the understanding of memory and its disruption in aging and disease. These positions offer access to generous start-up packages, state-of-the-art resources, and a collaborative scientific community.

  • The Losonczy Lab at the UT Southwestern Medical Center is recruiting undergraduate students to assist with our research program on the functional and transcriptomic organization of hippocampal memory circuits. Students can expect to assist in animal behavior training with the potential to gain experience in optical physiology (fiber photometry, two-photon calcium imaging), circuit manipulations (optogenetics, chemogenetics, pharmacology), and other cutting-edge tools for systems neuroscience.
