Supporting Our Research Mission
European Research Council (ERC)
Our Program on Memory Longevity will collaborate with researchers across the globe to decipher the neural code of learning and memory. The Losonczy Lab, Nusser Lab, and Spiegel Lab received a $12 million Synergy Grant from European Research Council (ERC). Our MemoryLoci project aims to understand learning and memory from circuits to synapses and molecules.
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Our work is supported by multiple grants from the National Institutes of Health, the primary federal agency for conducting and supporting medical research in the United States. NIH funding allows us to investigate fundamental questions about learning, memory, and synaptic plasticity using cutting-edge experimental approaches.

Postdoctoral Fellowship Support
Many of our postdoctoral researchers are supported through competitive individual fellowships from NIH (including F32 and K99/R00 awards) and prestigious private foundations. These fellowships recognize the exceptional talent and potential of our trainees and provide them with independent funding to pursue their research interests within the laboratory.
Institutional Support
Our research also benefits from institutional support provided by UT Southwestern Medical Center and the Peter O'Donnell Jr. Brain Institute, which provide essential infrastructure, core facilities, and collaborative resources.
